IIGF 2026: Call for Workshop Proposals
The India Internet Governance Forum (IIGF) 2026 invites all stakeholders to submit workshop proposals for the 6th edition of the Forum.
What's New This Year?
Selected community workshops will be held before the Forum, between 14 and 27 November 2026, as part of IIGF's preparatory process and community consultations.
Organisers will then present key findings and recommendations from their workshops at IIGF 2026 on 30 November 2026.

Complete the Online Form
Submit your proposal through the online form below. The form must be completed by the Lead Organiser.
Receive Your Confirmation
After submission, you will receive a confirmation email containing a copy of your proposal and a unique Proposal ID.
Edit Before the Deadline
You can edit your proposal until 20 October 2026, 23:59 IST.

Evaluation Criteria
Four criteria used to assess proposals
Proposals will be assessed on the relevance of the topic, the quality of the workshop content, inclusion and diversity, and audience engagement.
Relevance
How relevant is the topic to Internet governance and the Indian context? Does it align with a sub-theme and the overall theme?
Workshop Content
Does the proposal clearly explain the issues to be discussed, intended discussion outcomes, and the selection and availability of moderators and speakers? Is the workshop description aligned with the proposed topic?
Inclusion and Diversity
Does the workshop represent multiple stakeholders and diverse cultural, gender and geographical perspectives, including disability groups? Are panel members qualified to represent their stakeholder groups and the topic?
Engagement
Does the format, number of speakers and session length support audience participation? Does the proposal explain how discussion will be encouraged and how remote participants can contribute?
Technical Community Encouraged
The Theme Committee encourages proposals that actively engage the technical community, fostering inclusive dialogue and driving innovation in Internet governance. IIGF aims to create a platform for diverse perspectives, including those from the technical community.
Workshop Mergers
The Theme Committee may suggest that selected workshops on similar topics merge into one session to make room for more diverse, high-quality sessions. Proposers are not obligated to accept a merger; however, declining may carry a risk of losing the opportunity to conduct their session.
If Your Workshop Is Selected
Expectations for approved community workshops
Selected workshops form part of IIGF's preparatory process and community consultations before the main Forum.
Workshop Dates
Hold your workshop between 14 and 27 November 2026.
Venue and Format
Host the workshop at a venue of your choice as a hybrid or online session under the IIGF 2026 banner.
Remote Access
Provide remote access for members of the IIGF Theme Committee.
Community Promotion
IIGF will publish approved workshops on its website and promote them across the community.
Please note: IIGF does not provide financial support for organising workshops.
After Your Workshop
Required deliverables and reporting
Workshop organisers must complete the following post-event responsibilities.
Session Recording
Share the session recording with the IIGF 2026 Theme Committee.
Brief Report
Submit a brief report on the discussions and key takeaways in the given format.
Recommendations and Outcomes
Provide recommendations and outcomes from the session in the given format.
Within 48 Hours
Complete the Post Event section of the form within 48 hours after your workshop session.
30 November 2026
Workshop organisers will be expected to present the key findings, recommendations and outcomes from their sessions during IIGF 2026. These recommendations will contribute to and help shape the broader discussions at the Forum.
