Workshop Proposals
Submitting and preparing your proposal
What is different about workshops this year?
Selected community workshops are held before the Forum, between 14 and 27 November 2026. Organisers host them at a venue of their choice, as hybrid or online sessions under the IIGF 2026 banner. Each workshop then presents its key findings and recommendations at IIGF 2026 on 30 November.
Who can submit a proposal?
All stakeholders: government, industry, civil society, academia and the technical community. Collaborations among stakeholders are encouraged. The form is filled in by the Lead Organiser with details of the Co-Organizers.
I did not get a confirmation email. What should I do?
Check your spam folder, then write to submission@indiaigf.in with your workshop title and lead organiser's name.
Can my organisation submit more than one proposal?
Yes, but each proposal must be distinct, and the Committee may select only one per organisation.
Is there a sample proposal?
Yes. See the sample form linked on the Call for Workshop Proposals page . Update this link if your page uses a different URL.
Can a proposal cover more than one sub-theme?
Yes. You may indicate overlaps between the themes.
How will proposals be evaluated?
Proposals will be evaluated on four criteria:
- Relevance to Internet governance, the Indian context and the chosen sub-theme.
- Clarity of content, outcomes and speakers.
- Inclusion and diversity.
- Audience engagement, including remote participants.
Workshop Formats & Speakers
Session formats, speakers and collaboration
What different formats are allowed?
Workshops may be organised as hybrid or online sessions. They must support remote participation. The final format should follow the requirements communicated by the Theme Committee.
What does "multistakeholder" mean for our panel?
Speakers should come from different stakeholder groups, such as government, industry, civil society, academia and the technical community.
Do speakers have to be confirmed when we apply?
Indicate proposed speakers and their availability. The final list can be modified and confirmed by 10 November 2026.
Can speakers join remotely?
Yes. Workshops are hybrid or online, so remote speakers are allowed. This will be subject to the format of the workshop.
What is a merger?
The Theme Committee may ask selected workshops on similar topics to combine into one session. You do not have to accept, but declining may mean your workshop is not held.
Will I get feedback if my proposal is not selected?
Information about feedback for unsuccessful proposals has not yet been confirmed. Please contact submission@indiaigf.in for clarification.

Will IIGF promote my workshop?
Yes. Approved workshops are published on the IIGF website and shared with the community.
