This subtheme is aimed at capturing discussions around AI in the context of Internet Governance that is expanding into Digital Governance. However, in the description and details, we can highlight that the discussion must also connect to the relationship between AI and the internet, for example deployment of AI on the internet for content moderation or the use of the internet and user data in training AI models etc.

1. Ethical AI Design: Combining transparency, explainability, fairness, non-discrimination, and accountability to ensure AI systems are designed with ethical considerations at the forefront.
2. Legal and Regulatory Frameworks: Clarifying intellectual property rights for AI-generated content and ensuring compliance with laws to create a roadmap for future legal issues and redressal.

Societal Impact and Inclusion: Assessing AI’s impact on employment and developing strategies for job displacement mitigation through reskilling and upskilling programs, promoting a more inclusive Digital Bharat. Also, can include topics addressing the use of AI to enable multilingual access to the digital economy.
4. Sustainable AI: Discussing energy-efficient AI systems, the use of renewable energy sources and efficient energy consumption for data centres, and the development of AI models that contribute to environmental solutions.
5. AI for Good: Challenges and Opportunities in Integrating AI into DPI’s, creating homegrown LLM, or using AI for welfare delivery to ensure AI contributes positively to society.
